Dwm Luger Serial Number Dates
Dwm Properties Llc
Many years ago I bought a DWM artillery Luger with 1915 chamber date. all parts except the extractor and elevation sight slider carry original matching numbers. I can find no proof marks anywhere on the gun, and if they have been ground off, it sure isn't obvious. I discovered the lack of proof marks while researching whether or not a flat board artillery stock could be fitted under the ATF C&R exemptions. Is it possible that the gun never carried proof marks? If I should elect to apply for an exemption or a stamp allowing fitting an artillery flat board shoulder stock, will the chamber date, manufacturer, and serial number suffice for ATF's purposes? The absence of proof marks is a shocker to me.
Any help is appreciated.
